COVINGTON — M. Josephine Conner, 73, died at 4:40 p.m. on Aug. 10, 1999, in the Provena United Samaritan Hospital in Danville, Ill. Born Jan. 30, 1926, in Veedersburg, she was the daughter of Harry and Artie Royce Thomas. She married Alvin Curtis Conner on April 9, 1944, in Rockville. He preceded her in death on Nov. 30, 1993. She attended school in Yeddo. Survivors include: sons, Jack (Vicki) Conner, Covington, Paul L. (Sally) Conner, Williamsport, John Curtis (Tresa) Conner, Covington and Alan Conner, Covington; daughters, Marilyn E. (Chuck) Johnson, Montana, Lorretta (Bernie) Livengood, Las Vegas, Sharon (Richard) Roberts, Covington, Donna (James) VanEtta, Covington and Alice Stonebraker, Covington; brothers, Paul Thomas, Veedersburg and Frank Thomas, Veedersburg; sister, Albertal Ansbery, Texas; 20 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, two sisters, two grandsons and one great-granddaughter. Funeral services were 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 14 at Shoemaker Funeral Home in Waynetown with Rev. Gordon Nichols officiating. Burial was in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. – jlr
